Noct has spent the entirety of his life knowing he'll one day be a king, and then, because this game is cruel and whoever put this system of magical rings and crystals together was an idiot, he spoilers dies to bring the sun back to his home. So! To have the chance to help people on a wide scale from a position of power (plus to be able to take on that responsibility willingly) would be an amazing experience for him. Also, the boy needs a break from all the loss and destruction and desperation.
What would you like to do with your character in this game? I would like him to take a throne, perhaps the throne of Time. He's also going to be doing a lot of fishing and hugging Ignis to heal his soul.
