deifier | Game Terminology

Throne: This is literally a throne. Each domain will have at least one throne, situated in a temple dedicated to the god of that domain. Thrones appear how characters or players wish.

Sitting God: A character who has been deified and currently occupies a throne.

Domain: That concept or realm a Sitting God oversees, such as Time, the ocean, the weather, War, Love, etc.

Court: The Courts are groupings of domains: Water, Earth, Sky and Time, the Underworld, and Abstracts. For example, Ocean and Rivers fall under "Water", and Music and Technology are "Abstracts". Each Court has a Godhead.

Godhead: A supreme god of a Court, sort of like a general manager. This role is taken by the deity who has been sitting the longest and has amassed the most power.

Lessers or Minors: Less powerful or younger gods in a given Court.

Fallen God: A character who has been deposed/removed from their throne. They tend to be treated with mild respect by the NPC population, unless they were seriously abusing their power.

Mortal: This term refers to non-deities, even though deities technically aren't immortal.
