Applications are Open.

The application process is pretty simple. This is intended to cut down on the time the moderator spends reviewing applications, as well as to simplify entry into the game. While applications are considered a process by which mods can determine if someone is truly invested in play, Dusk of the Gods has an overall format which requires regular activity, and has several measures in place to prevent the dreaded "character squatter".

Please fill out the provided form and submit it as a comment in the responses. As the application form is very straightforward and should require no revisions, applications will either be Accepted or Rejected.

If your application is rejected, please wait one month before applying again (as you would for a game with a normal application cycle) unless you are given other directions.

The application is really easy. You literally just have to follow instructions.

Applications are reviewed within 24-48 hours of submission. If 48 hours have passed and your application has not been reviewed, please reply to your application with a note reminding the mod to get on it.

Profile for your character:

Poe Dameron is a 32-year-old Captain (former Commander) of the Resistance and formerly a Captain of the Rapier Squadron" of the New Republic's forces. He has been shown in canon to have exceptional skill in piloting and decent skills with weapons (such as blasters). He is also bilingual and able to understand binary. Poe, in terms of personality, is known for being daring, but also for being fiercely loyal and stubborn. He is also a fierce friend and willing to see the good in others. However, some of his traits come with a drawback of being unable or unwilling to accept decisions that he does not agree with. This is especially apparent during "The Last Jedi" where he leads a mutiny against Vice Admiral Holdo after a plan for the remaining Resistance forces to escape becomes known and he deems her plans to be "cowardly" instead of courageous.

Poe also has been shown to be "snarky" or even "mouthy" to others, especially in stressful or dangerous situations, and he has used that as a method of fighting back or buying himself (or others) time to escape or prevent information from becoming known to the First Order. He is seen mouthing off to Kylo Ren when initially captured and again before being tortured. He also contacts a star destroyer later in canon and instigates a "prank call" to General Hux to buy the other forces time to escape and to begin a bombing raid against a dreadnaught of the First Order's.

By the end of the events of TDJ, Poe has been forced to learn just what makes a leader and what is bravado and what is truly brave and the best decision for all after she went against orders and that one decision set into motion a series of subsequent events that turned into most of the Resistance being wiped out.

Why do you believe your character is an appropriate fit for this game?

Well, I saw Kylo Ren as a taken character and thought that CR with them would be really fun.

What would you like to do with your character in this game?

I don't have any particular ideas at this time, but I suppose he would fall into a "God of Fire" role and I also suppose he would be interested in attempting to get home (canon events have him worried about everyone he "left behind") and trying to spend some time looking into that, then eventually fall into a routine and slowly starting to care about this world and what is occurring here. He also might start to see this experience as some sort of chance to repent for his past mistakes (see "The Last Jedi" for a full list of bad decisions).
